PUNISHMENT for Perjury

The General Punishment for perjury may be at all costs Proception; and besides that and imprisonment at discretion up to 7 years. But if any danger not corporal to an individual or would have in consequence of the being , the Punishment may be in the 1st case equal to that for theft: in the 2nd half as much as for theft - or at any rate the punishment in the case may be perhaps that proportion to the punishment in the 1st. If any Corporal suffering, satisfaction my be given by the jury in Damages, if the ex may take place. Qn? whether it is to be deemed damage done where an informer is prevented the acquisition a penalty given on his favour.
