Having for its end and and end different from that which
of many other parties, The end aimed at by the code here proposed body of his being
different from the only and aimed at by any other nation
the Anglo American United States so far as regards the Constitutional
Code alone excepted, the means employed in other
words the several subordinate ends could not now be
correspondently different. If the whole body of law taken in
its maximization of the greatest happiness of the greatest
number is the end -
