Complex Offences. — rendered chronical by complexity. —

circumstances by which an Offence may be rendered
complex are 1. Multitude of Subject matters of the delinquency
viz. Person Property Reputation Condition in life.
2. Multitude of the Persons wronged by the delinquency
3. Multitude of Codelinquents.

Subject matters may be
1 Person alone
2 Property alone
3 Person alone premeditated
Property by accident
4 Property premeditated
Person by accident

1. It may be that Person alone is the subject matter
of delinquency.
2. It may be that Property alone is the subject matter
of delinquency.
3 It may be that when Person alone is the direct and
premeditated object of delinquency, Property becomes so by
accident.
4. It may be that when Property alone is the premeditated
object of delinquency, Person becomes so by accident.

Example 1. Where the Person becomes the subject
of the wrong in consequence of his acting in defence
of his or of another Person's property.

In several of these cases the Offence by the
extent it has, whether in respect of execution or design,
assumes the character of a semi public Offence.
