parties should be tempted to depart swerve from that from that
resolution engagement of any one who should show any signs

Upon comparing notes they found that at the

pleasure which by inconstancy they attempted
to increase.

The adventures that may happen from the
promiscuous intercourse of the sexes may admit
of infinite variety - but this is a specimen of a
vast multitude which in the course of ages.[during
the progress growth of experience], must have contributed
insensibly to pave the way for [to] the institution of the marriage vow.

These same circumstances which seem to have
acted as causes in bringing about the institution establishment
of this marriage contract, may serve as will shew the
reasons for enforcing it when established.
