after the passing of this Act, so as the said salary and emoluments shall
in no case exceed the sum of Seven hundred pounds by the year.
VI. And be it Enacted, That each of the said Judges shall and may
appoint a fit and proper person to be the Crier, and two fit and proper
persons to be the Messengers and Ushers of the said Courts, and to allot
to them the salaries following; that is to say, Eighty pounds to the
crier, and Fifty pounds to each of the messengers and ushers, with such
fees for the service of process as are set forth in the Schedule (B.) hereunto
annexed: and in case it shall happen that the service of the said
Court shall require any extra messengers to be appointed, then each of
the said Judges shall have power to appoint such number to fit and
proper persons from among the bound bailiffs to the sheriffs, to be extra
