Instructions

I §. Conflicting interpretation respecting function §.18.2. eventually-emendative
function §.19.

With whatsoever skill, endeavoured to be excluded, uncertainties, respecting what
on the occasion in question was the desire and will of the Legislator will
in every part of the law, people in a body
be liable to present themselves: To to one man the passage in
question will present more than one; there is the case of multiples to another
no determinate sense at all: this is the case of obscurity,
as between individual and individual to see the passage one man and another, a passage which presents
no question with to both a determinate sense, will present to the one no sense, to the other a different

individual and individual after suit : so thus it may

of his interpretation,
without any exercise given to his eventually
emendative function,
