( ) [without having in all that time been seen again by brought before the Judge.] I see not Nothing in this circumstance presents itself as being of itself any thing like a conclusive proof of injustice on the part of the Judge Suppose it ascertained that such or such a person would be capable of deposing on this occasion in the character of a material witness and that his place could not in an with adequate adequate degree effect be supplied by any other. Supposing that on this occasion of the poisoners in question the examination had gone proceeded as far as the nature of the case admitted, there would be no use in any ulterior examination of the Defendant unless some special occurrence presenting a demand for fresh inquiry had presented itself.
