Tis To Thee that owes the spring its rich garments of green
And the Summer its gorgeous apparel of glory
And Autumn its Sun beams so fair & serene
And the winter its fierce spirits & white robes so icy & hoary.

The world was first reared by Thy life-giving spirit
Thy forward still And still 'tis curtained by Thy infinite might
Thy voice gently whispers – O father! we hear it
It whispers encouragement, hope & delight.

What a talent is life! 'tis the spark from whose bosom
Fire springs up a flame that heaven's portals hath risen.
'Tis a germ full of fruit – 'tis an embryo blossom
Whose flower born on earth sheds sends its fragrance to heaven.
