§. Character Evidence – how receivable

Art. 1. Only in case of and with much necessity will the Judge give admission
to character evidence.

Art. 1. By character evidence understand evidence
touching the degree of trustworthiness having place in the relation to the character or say disposition of a certain individual.

Art. An individual respecting whose character and
disposition evidence may cause to be tendered or required
to be checked with be either party or an extraneous witness

Art. Applied to a party it will be applied to a
party either on the pursuers or on the defendants side.

Art. Applied to a party on the pursuer's side it may
apply either to his capacity of affording adequate counter-security
as to his trustworthiness or say the probative
force of his testimony in the character of capacity of a witness.
