Of Theft or Stealing.
Theft or Stealing is where a man person (A) is concerned () in taking (B/C) any thing (C)D that possesses a value(D)E
worth regarding(E)F knowing(F)G that it possesses such a value
and that he has no right(G)H so to be concerned in
taking it, intending with-hold it from <add>[+] any proprietor</add> [to dispose of(H)I it to his own purposes
of his own] and not to be amenable(I) for it so doi to the law.

Exposition.
[(A) Concerned] See Tit: Of Associates in Delinquency Of Co-offenders
[(B) Taking] It matters not in what manner he
takes it ; whether he takes it and carries it away, or
takes it by using it as it stands . See Act. II.
It matters not by what means : whether by the
exertion of his own unassisted powers either of body or
mind or by the instrumentality of any other agent
rational, irrational or unanimated: if it be a dog for
instance that he has taken , whether he induced the animal
to follow him by invitation , or took it up in his arms;
or pretending it to be his own got another man to
carry it for him or caused another dog to drag it after
him or led it by a halter.
