any such Colonists. [There certainly For a certainty there would not be any,
if all were who are it were a matter of certainty that a true comprehension
of their own interests in this respect would
always be entertained by persons disposed to colonize. At any rate, Sooner
or later however, what is wanting to discernment, would
in this as in other cases be supplied by experience.
What is certain is that persons raising produce in this
exorbitantly distant Colony, will never get obtain for it so much as will
at the same time be obtained for equal quantity and value
raised in any other spots situated at any ordinary distance.
There will therefore be a loss to the whole commercial world
taken together by every portion
of produce raised in this
Colony: the raising of any such produce may therefore
be classed among those events that either will not happen
or if they do ahould will be undesirable to be regretted.

The loss by freight might not be an unsurmountable
obstacle bar to the colonization of this country, if
were any peculiar source of profit productive enough to compensate
it. But for the expecting of any such source
of profit no name can be assigned.
