Clause B - Supplemental Article Article 2

Art. 2. . And whereas it was originally intended that
the said Penitentiary House should be erected on a
certain spot at Battersea Rise containing 79 Acres
and one Road, as in the said Act of the 34th year
of his Majesty's Reign is mentioned, and that the
number of Convicts Prisoners which such Penitentiary House
should be calculated to accomodate in the first instance
should be 1000 and no more And whereas
the quantity of ground now intended it being now intended it being now intended number of
Prisoners which the said Penitentiary House is now
intended to accommodate amounts to 2000, and
the quantity of ground to be intended to be annexed to provided for the use of
the said Penitentiary will in case of the [+] [+] piece of waste Land constituting Lot D and containing 35 Acres or thereabouts clear of Roads should
