As to animals, the carcases of those which possess

in this highest degree possess that sort of value which is
intrinsic and unchangeable — horned cattle the most
valuable food for man, they are to be had in Paraguay in any
quantity for the trouble of killing by a voyage of not
about a third part of the length of the Voyage to New
South Wales: and even upon those terms they are
found worth fetching away.
