Each licence good but
for one place —
Partners to pay as one.
Servants not to pay. §.6. Provided also, and be it further enacted that in every such Licence mention shall
be made of the House, Shop, Warehouse, Yard, or other place of
Trade [I][26] or occupation in respect whereof the same shall be granted; and that
no such Licence shall extend to more than one such place of
Trade.
Provided nevertheless that any two or more Houses, Yards, or other
places of Trade or occupation, which, being in the occupation of
one and the same person are not more than [one Hundred Yards] [2][25]
distant from each other, in the nearest parts thereof, shall, for in prospect of the
payment of any such Licence duty as aforesaid be considered
but as one: Provided also that if it should chance that any
one such House, Yard, or other place should be partly within
and and partly without the said London District, the same shall be
considered for the purpose of payment as aforesaid, as if the
whole were within the said District. —
Provided also that Partners in any number shall in
respect of every such Licence-Duty be charged only as one person.
but each and every such Partner shall enter into and
pay for a separate [4] in manner having often
mentioned.
