Settlers hopeless partly to the faculty of exchange. To exercise this faculty
with any tolerable convenience and advantage .. The exercise
of this faculty requires a double market is indisputable a market where he can sell what he has to spare: a
market where he can purchase what he stands in need
of.
In all these particulars we shall find some remarkable
inconvenience, deficiency difficulty, or even total impossibility
pressing bearing upon the condition of the unhappy inhabitant
of New South Wales.
