bounty — Campbell before he recommends a man for
pardon sees his friends & satisfies himself that some
feasible plan is sined on for the man's subsistence — only
on of the 50 (a Scotchman) has since been taken up for a new offence.
Some are now going into the 60th Regt. but Ld Sandwich
wont receive them into the navy: as supposed in
account of the attacks that have been made upon him in
this scene in the two Houses.
<p<Campbell says he is very popular among them.

old man sent from Cornwall at an expence of £20 for
stealing a game cock — died soon after his arrival —
Another who had but one arm, and several who from
other causes are unable to work —
