- "all
persons wandering abroad
and lodging in alehouses
barns, outhouses or in
the open are not giving
good account of themselves
and are persons" . . .

begging, shall be deemed
rogues and vagabonds //2

lawful for any person to
apprehend offenders against
their will . . .

rogues or vagabonds . . .
are brought before any
Justice, each Justice shall
inform himself by the examination
upon oath of
the person apprehended,
or any other person,
of the condition and circumstances

so apprehended, and of
the parish where he was
