By way of objection to the first article, it may
occur That that the damage which constitutes the pecuniary
mischief of the office, does not [even
in the case where the offence is an offence

benefit resulting from any reduction in the
quantum of this damage would not therefore
operate in its whole amount, in the character of as a
saving in the amount of the expences of
