We have locked the transcript because this is a good rendering of the page that Bentham Project editors could work on in the future. Not to worry about the prose being nonsensical – this often seems the case even when we can transcribe every word of what Bentham is saying! Two things to bear in mind that could help with future transcriptions. There were a couple of paragraph tags missing from the transcript – these need to be applied to every paragraph on a page. Bentham also writes the date and title at the top of many pages – this info can usually be found in the blue section at the bottom of the manuscript page.
