Welcome to the Transcribe Bentham project and thank you for your first transcript of JB/550/258/001, which was an excellent effort. The content of the transcript and the tagging were both completed well. We have made a few small changes to your transcript, which can be viewed at [1]. There are a few improvements that can be made with regards to the tagging. All paragraphs in the text need to be contained within “paragraph” tags. Hyphenated words which appear at the end of lines should be transcribed in full without the hyphen, before the “line break” tag. Finally, if you are not sure what a word says, you should use the “gap” tag, rather than using “unclear” tags with the phrase “questionable reading”.
