Your transcript of JB/110/017/002 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. A great job on this transcription. We clarified a few unclear words and added one missing paragraph tag. We think you made the right decision with regards to the dashes. The final word on the page is a ‘catchword’, where the first word of the following page is inserted at the right-hand lower corner of a manuscript folio, below the last line. It should be tagged as an addition. This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it. Many thanks for your submission and contribution to the project!
Your transcript of JB/012/045/001 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. We think you are right about your reading of ‘aussitot’ and the comma after ‘prix’ – you have replicated what is on the page. We clarified a few unclear words here but apart from that, the transcription was very good. We would tag ‘Monsieur’ as a separate paragraph, rather than a heading. There is no need to add a page break tag at the end of a single page – these tags should only be used to divide up double pages. Thank you for your first transcript of JB/012/045/002, which was an excellent effort. You did a great job with the transcription of the text and with the adding of the tags. We think you made the right decision with the application of punctuation marks. We have made a few small changes to your transcript, which can be viewed by following the instructions at this link [1]. A couple of things to watch out for in relation to the tags… Foreign tags should be encoded inside paragraph tags. And everything on the page should be encoded in either paragraph, note or heading tags. If you have any questions, feel free to send us a message on the Transcription Desk or email us at transcribe.bentham@ucl.ac.uk This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it.
