Hi Tim. I just looked at your Christmas message. Thanks, and I trust that your holidays were happy and frolicsome! Joy
No, that's absolutely fine, Tim. I'll explain in the email I send, later this evening.
And, yes, it was rather a tortuous one! Hence the length of time it took me to complete. hahaha...

Apologies, I seem to have left part of a previously amended sentence at the end of my previous post. Perhaps I can suggest that an 'edit' link is added to this board-to-board stream/facility? D.
I thought you were, Tim! Things are incredibly busy here (my course at Oxford Uni. is very demanding, and coupled with my Project Leader role at my former university, a mentoring role that I've recently take on, job seeking activities, and a bandwidth problem I have periodically, which means I have no access to internet for prolonged periods, things have been very challenging. I'll be contributing regularly again once I have the two assignments submitted that I'm currently working on. Say hi to everyone there for me. D. periodic bandw
Oops - tried to get to the Nov. 9 blog from the Transcription Desk - it would only go to the Nov. 2 entry. I tried using the link in Facebook and got "Error 404 - Not Found." Where's Nov. 9? Lea
Good. It is needed, Tim! Some can be quite tricky.
Thanks for passing on my suggestion re overwritten/amended text. This would help enormously, and in my experience I think I've had at least as many amended words to deal with, as I have foreign words. So there really is a need for some kind of markup tag for it. Best, D.
Hi Tim, Just to let you know you've overlooked folio JB/116/632/001, submitted at 14:19, 14-Sep-2012. D.
FYI, this one is still showing in the untranscribed materials list, together with /135, /136 and /154 which are also locked
Thanks, yes that is helpful for the future. Incidentally, the record isn't yet locked, and there is a </add> still showing at the end of the final sentence which needs an administrator to tidy up.
Oh, it was you! I would have been quite happy for you to have protected JB/051/284/002, that one had been submitted at the time! :))
Thanks for unprotecting it. It's now submitted for editing. D.
Oh, right. Okay. I thought it was an unusual spelling of 'severely'! :)) What's the stroke at the front then (which looks like an 's'? or is that just written under the 's' in the word above to clarify that it is indeed an 's'? D.
Umm, the rath of Bentham! Yes, I did find this one quite amusing! It kind of reminded me of the snarling comments from present day politicians (in the House at question time). :)) D.
That sounds like a nice event, Tim! It's great to hear that one of mine was on display! That's always very pleasing. As for legibility, I think it's quite an easy one. Lovely folio though ... a great find, I think. Probably my favourite one so far.
Hope things are going well for you all at Bentham House!? Pass on my best wishes to everyone! D.
What a word!! "Now, Mr. Bentham, don't be shy, tell us what you really think!" And thanks for the enlightening introduction to the Box 116 materials. And the reading list. I've asked the public library to try to get a copy of the Smith book for me; we'll see what they can do.
Agreed. But I'm still trying to figure out how/why "American was conquered in Germany" (JB/116/225/002)
Too bad about EngagedU. Only too true that you can't win them all.
Ah, that's a shame! Well, all publicity is good publicity (according to marketing buffs), so it's been a useful exercise, I'm sure! And it's good for morale, too! :))
D.
I know, I have been! I was just on there. They haven't released anything yet. Didn't know if you had some insider information :))
Will check again later. D.
