We added full stops again after the abbreviated words. We added extra closing tags to the words that are both underlined and superscripted towards the end of the page. Finally, Bentham often uses ‘catchwords’, where he inserts the first word of the following page at the right-hand lower corner of a manuscript folio, below the last line.
