3 C Of Defraudment

From p. 1. at bottom

1 be amenable to law are in one respect different
in Defraudment from what they are in Theft.
In Theft it most commonly happens that the fact of the taking is after attempted to
be concealed: in Defraudment this can hardly
happen be the case. In the same defraudment, the
concealment which is the most —material, and which indeed is necessary common, is the
concealment of these all such facts by which whereby the falsity of
the pretences by means of which the thing is
obtained would become apparent. To p. 2. at top

Aggravation II. Forgery

2 See Tit . [Forgery]

Extra-punishment

1 Afflictive and ignominious punishment of the
iron pen. This at all events. More or less
public at discretion.

Aggravation III Perjury.

See Tit. Perjury.

Extra-punishment

1 Afflictive and ignominious punishment of
the tongue-spike. See Tit [Punishments] This
at all events: more or less public at dscretion.

Other Aggravations are the same as in
Theft: which I see. To p. 4. No 2
