<p>22. Every regular ecclesiastic whose house may be<lb/>suppressed, may take away with him the furniture<lb/>which has been appropriated to his particular use&#x2014;</p>

Government may direct the application of such suppressed<lb/>convents as may appear fitted for establishments of<lb/>public utility&#x2014; In like manner it may provide for the<lb/>decorous continuance of religious worship, in those places<lb/>which the piety of the faithful has rendered celebrated for<lb/>sa<add>n</add>ctity from ancient times&#x2014;</p>
