Your transcript of JB/104/003/001 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. This was a very good transcript. We were able to help with the first couple of words but apart from that, there were few changes that needed to be made. This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it. Many thanks for your submission and contribution to the project!

Your transcript of JB/135/006/002 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. Again your reading of the text is very good here, thanks very much for your input. We think you are right about ‘such part’ and we were able to get rid of a few other ‘unclear’ tags. We tend to include marginal summaries if they are written in pen. If there is marginalia in pencil, this does not need to be transcribed. We included the second heading after a page break tag and a comment explaining that a new column started here. This gives a more accurate record of what is actually on the page. This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it. Many thanks for your submission and contribution to the project!

Your transcript of JB/013/005/004 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. This was another excellent transcript, thank you! We think your reading of ‘Article 1st’ is correct – unfortunately Bentham isn’t always consistent with these things… This completed transcript has now been locked to prevent other users from altering it. Many thanks for your submission and contribution to the project!

Your transcript of JB/013/005/003 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. This was an excellent transcript, very neatly transcribed! Your reading of ‘quere’ was absolutely correct – Bentham uses this word to mean ‘query’. It should be marked with the sic and foreign tag. Your transcript of JB/013/005/001 has been checked and accepted by the Transcribe Bentham editors. This was a good transcript – both the text and the tagging were highly accurate. You did the right thing with the ampersand and em dash tags in the heading. There is an issue with the heading tag, whereby the coding becomes visible if you add other tags within a heading tag. But you should add the tags as required, regardless. If you have any questions about this, just send us a message. Welcome to the Transcribe Bentham project and thank you for your first transcript of JB/013/001/003, which was an excellent effort. The text was accurately transcribed and we only made one small change to the tagging – adding a paragraph tag to the first line. You can view the change we made at the following link: http://www.transcribe-bentham.da.ulcc.ac.uk/td/Help:Feedback If you have any questions, just send us a message. We look forward to receiving more of your transcripts in the future!
