§. 2. Treason
Treason may be committed by the subject

of this state; for so long as he resides within the dominions
territory of this state, he enjoys the benefit of the protection
afforded by the authorities of this state, against
evil, by internal adversaries. And the part he
is taking against the power and peace of this state
may be still more noxious, than the species of hostility

N.B. Treason may with propriety be
