And be it further enacted that
the proceeding: on every information
given of any species committed against this Act
and all other proceedings judicial proceedings to be carried in x grounded on this Act, may an
x in such cases in which it is x otherwise
provided, be carried on x before any one or more
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace acting in and for
the county or other local jurisdiction in which the
ground for such proceedings shall arise: and every
x Justice by before whom any person shall be committed
as aforesaid of any such offense may cause to
conviction to be drawn up x according to the form x
contained and described in the Schedule marked ( ) and hereunto
annexed, or x according to any other form
of words to the same effect: and further for levying
or causing to be paid x every such x sum as any
x person shall be adjudged to pan, whether under the
name of a penalty, or of costs, of both or on any other account
it shall and may be lawful for such Justice or
Justices to proceed either by Distress and Sale by
committing that party in the first instance the party to any prison or House of
Correction, within the jurisdiction of such Justice or
Justices for any time not greater than two months (twelve weeks
x determinable upon the payment of the money so to be x: x
paid: or in the case of conviction for any such offence
such Justice or Justices may at their discretion
committ such offender as aforesaid in the first instance for any term
not excluding one six month weeks and moreover each
x adjudge him to forfeit and pay and x thereupon
a manner aforesaid may seem not exceeding
the half of the x amount of sum forfeiture which in each respective case
