Certificate of Discharge & Inlistment under the
Statute 34. Geo: 3. ch. _____ § VII attesting the discharge of
A. L. from the General Panopticon Penitentiary
House, and his Inlistment into the service of his Ma-
-jesty [or of the East India Company.]

General Panopticon Penitentiary House this _____ day of
[Month Year]

On the _____ day of [Month Year] A.D. the intended
Bearer of this was discharged from the General Panop-
ticon Penitentiary House or from the Metasylum or
from naming whatever other service he had been last en-
gaged in.

On the same day he was inlisted in the service of his
Majesty in the [Corps] or on board the [Ship]
or the East India Company as the same may be.

This Certificate is accordingly given him for his
protection that he may not be deemed as a fugitive
from the Penitentiary House or a deserter from his
service due in virtue of any subsequent engagement.
