publishing the
progress of the
issue.
Uses of such publication.
1. Encouragement
to purchase
1. That the disposition to take out the paper may
give strength to the for this paper may
become the stronger & more general, in proportion as the
demand for it I seen to increase.

2. That the notice thus given to the Bank
and Bankers to redeem the quantity of their respective paper
may be as timely, as regular, and as
as possible.
3 Warning of
an increasing appreciating
depreciation of
this paper by
a run for cash
3. That, the amount of the issue in the course
of each given period being thus ascertained, an
indication may be afforded of the length degree to which
any temporary cause of depreciation must have operated, before
it can have proceeded to such a length as to subject
the paper to discount in the way of circulation.

place where
it runs heavy.
4. That in case the circulation of any difficulty
should happen to befal the circulation in one part
of the country, and while the emission was going on
in the other, the difficulty might obtain relief by
sending the paper to the a district where the emission
was going on brisk, or by orders sent from that
district to the district where the circulation was
going on heavily.
