1822 April 8.
Rid yourselves

List Profitable

1. From the dominion kept or only fought for, advantage non except to those who acknowledge
it not: suffering,
vast on both sides

2. Of emancipation, see the advantages in the very Proclamation end, to prevent it: sympathy and connection
produced by sameness of "language, religion, "laws and customs" - bonds existing - of dominions
continued says the orator: if it ceases says. Few the words: great and good the meaning Added by Proclamation
"virtues": stretch out by 113 as added here on recollection
of conflict on this head is particularised by Townsend II.358: as quoted in s.3 with such advantages over every other nation,
what more would you have? had your productions, not to speak of person, if they do not obtain the preference

3. Only in proportion to capital, can anything in any case be done. Patience
you shall see it flowing in: without penal
laws or conducts which, on pretence of enlarging, do but stop the stream.
List Profitable

4. Quantities, proportions, figures
would you have? In Seybert's observatory an excellent telescope: seen in it not Spain and Spanish america indeed: but England and English do - to this purpose,
the same thing. From U.S next year after
relinquishment, money's
worth received more than ever before. Why not so in Spain's ease? So great the advantage when the relinquishment was extorted, how much greater if spontaneous.

5. Now, if content with such prophecy as history
gives, behold the figures Seybert's statistical annals Philadelphia 1818, 4th 285. Field geographical of the observations, England and U.S: subject matters, exports
of another country to these colonies, at the two periods. 1. Before the emancipation
to the 13 U.S of three years, ending
1773, no more than £3,064.853. Reals 306,484,300 - next year after emancipation Ao. 1784, already £3,359,864
- Reals 335,986,400

6. True, the original number,
Ao 17 no more than 13: now 22. But the 9. are but offsets from the original stock: subject
of the question, if not geographical position nor even number of inhabitants

6. -but value of goods purchased,
by the same nation
as the different periods:
subjection and independence.

7. This explained, see the account of 1817, latest yeat in Seybert, Exports from U.S to England, Dollars 43, 468,242 4/6 per Dollar t9,786,354. Reals 978,635,400. True for intervening diversities
in value of money
allowance should be made. But against error, this memento suffices.
England and English are not Spain and her do. True: but this relation is the same: they have profited more/ from colonies when independent
than when dependent: so will you

8. True, bettering your alone condition, so will you your hindmen's. Yet I hope that as Christians you will not so hate those you are so eager to govern, as that your felicity will be lessened by the sight of their's.

9. Howsoever changed the laws and institutions, the nomenclature of them would in great part, remain,
and thus far constitutes a bond of connections
not existing between
Spain and any other country. Would you enjoy
Don Quixote? Learn Spanish: I have heard of the advice being taken.
