Art. Considered in respect of the avowed interest in the
event of the cause suit a witness is either a party witness
or an extraneous witness: a party witness or say a testifying
party.

A party in The interest which to party

The place of a party in the suit is either on the
pursuer's side or on the defendant's side.

A party witness is therefore either a pursuer witness
say a testifying evidence-yielding pursuer, or a defendant witness say a
testifying defendant.

Considered in respect of the stage at which a witness
contributes to a decision on the question of fact a witness was
is either according to his own a self-declared account of the matter a percipient
witness, or a relating or say narrating witness.

A narrating witness may be an immediate
narrating witness or an unimmediate narrating witness.

An immediate narrating relating witness is one who in
relation to the matter of fact in question delivers his testimony
to the Judge immediately without the intervention
of any other relating witness.

An unimmediately relating witness of the first remove is one by
whom concerning the matter of fact in question a relation
has been delivered in the presence or hearing of someone him who
becomes an unimmediately relating witness.
