§. 8. Judge's obligation punish how enforcible.
Art. In regard to any relevant assertion made in
the course of a suit by any person in the character of a party
asserting his belief as it as an object a subject of his assured belief that a certain article lot
of evidence that the evidence of a that from a certain persons, writing or
other thing would if forthcoming and appropriately
examined would in relation to the suit in question be evidence might
relevant, material and favorable to his sorts of interest in the suit
might and would be extracted, the Judge at the instance
of any party is bound to make answer to certain questions
the object of which is to extract his opinion in relation
to the insincerity sincerity of such assertion declared belief.
