For falshood in subservience to Rape

1. If ordinary falshood, penance by confession in the
pulpit of recantation

afflictive punishment.

Moreover the term "subservience" which I have used
Meaning of the term "Subservience" to be adjusted
with reference to all of them, would need to be particularly defined.
The import of it should be extended not only to the several
modes of complicity and inchoate delinquency, but also to the
cases where the design and tendency of the falshood is to provide
an apparent justification or extenuation for the offence principal offence when committed.
