Simple or undenominated falshood is falshood unaccompanied
with any of those particular circumstances which
have the effect of giving bestowing on it a particular denomination.

Falshood is where a man where a man
declares any thing to be true which is untrue, believing
it to be true so to be.
Falshood is either positive or negative: which
by concealment latter may also be stiled falshood by concealment.
Positive falshood is where a man declares as fact does any thing in himself the
to be intention of disposing you to believe a fact such or such
to be true which if true would be material [C], but which is not true, himself believing it at the same
time to be material, & not to be true.
Negative falshood or Falshood by concealment
is where a man being bound to declare his entertaining a
belief concerning some such or such a fact, and
which was being which fact is material fact, and believing it which he believes so to be
and being bound to declare such his belief wilfully
forbears to do so.
