Let us see how far in what respect the establishing and enforcing
the marriage contract is conducive to this desire.

Alway Every particle of pleasure of this kind as
of any other kind is prima facie when considered by itself
a good: Any operation then and it must be taken
for so much clear good till it some evil can be
proved to issue from the same source . . Marry
Any operator therefore which has the effect of presenting
any such pleasure, must pro tanto &
prima facie be deemed an evil.

This being the case, what the inconveniences
are which may result from the experiment of such a
contract is palpable enough. After enjoying the
pleasures in question with one woman for a certain
