Reasons Offences against Condition — Adultery

supportable and the enjoyment she derives from his
caresses much more valuable to her: [In her unexperienced
mind] the enjoyment instead of being
referred to the sex will be referred to the individual.
Accordingly it has been observed that caeteris
paribus a woman feels is apt to feel an a peculiar tenderness
for the man from whom she has first
learned to experience those enjoyments: and that when the warmth of passion for all is equally abated with respect to all the
memory of a first lover is apt to be dearer to her
than that of any subsequent one.
