such secrets, than can are apt to arise in the course of any

By these such means are may the vulnerable parts of a mans
circumstances and character be every now and then
laid open; his pecuniary projects and resources
his latent weaknesses exposed: nor is it easy to say
how much a man may sometimes be a sufferer
by these means in point of reputation as well
as fortune.
