Of Destruction or Endamagement

Question I

Why criminal clandestine destruction is punished in nearly
the main in the same manner as Theft?

Reasons

1. Because the mischief of the first order are the upon the whole is but little
same as different from that that of Theft. In the first place this See Tit. Offences against property in general in given in off
in any mischief of the 1st order is the same in both cases
This is true at least when once the quantity value of the
effects destroy destruction committed is given. But
on a certain account this value is apt to be
greater in the case of destruction than in that of
