Frauds relative to the Coin.
presumptions may, singly or collectively, be received as conclusive
proof.
1. If a large quantity of altered + + or diminished or counterfeit Coin be found
in his possession.
2. Especially if it appear to be newly coined or defaced. alter'd. or diminished
3. Or if it be kept by itself unmixed with genuine and
unaltered or undiminished Coin.
4. Or if it appear to be studiously concealed.
5. If any instrument particularly adapted to the purpose
of Coining be found in his possession.
6. If any clippings or filings of metal of the same species
and fineness as any of which genuine Coin is made
be found in his possession.

[(C) Diminishing] It matters not by what means the diminution
is effected; whether chymically for instance by dissolving
the surface by any fluid menstruum or mechanically
