Forgery . Punishment
Analytical View.
With regard to Forgery committed in the view of subjecting or
with intent to subject a person to any personal Injury, if it
succeeds, it starts as an aggravation is only a particular method of being concerned in
the infliction of that Injury and has operates as a<add>n ground of aggravation applied to that offence.</add>: if it does not succeed it stands upon
the footing of an attempt: to wit an attempt to inflict
that Injury: and stands as an an ground of aggravation
applied to such attempts.

Extra- - Punishment for Forgery in subserviency to Simple Personal Injuries under Unlawful Confinement. For forgery with intent to subject a Man to suffer
a simple personal Injury(A) simple mental Injury<add>(B)</add> or Unlawful Confinement(BC) the offender or other injury to the liberty of loco-motion <add>Banishment , the — extra-punishment may be the ignominious [and afflictive]</add>
and above the ordinary Punishment(D) may be punished
ignominiously, with the iron pen: punishment of the iron pen. See Tit. [Punishments.]
Exposition
[(A) Personal Injury] As if you being a Minor, a man were
to forge a Letter in the name of your Father, Guardian or
Preceptor to another person desiring that person to chastise
you, as if it were for some offence. Or as if a Man were to
forge a Letter of abuse of in your name a letter <add>calumniating <add>// // See Tit [Calumniation] or</add> vilifying + + a vilification . See Ch Tit. of Vilification</add> to another person to
the intent that that other person should fall upon You and beat You.
