Of Rebellion.
11. If a man levy or conspire or prepare to levy offensive war against the
Sovereign
12. If a man denies the h maintains in writing or in public discourse that the Sovereign
has no good title so to be.
13. If a man maintains in writing or public speaking
that any foreign potentate has any authority
from God to punish the subjects for paying obedience
to the Sovereign.
14. If any perso man commit adultery with
the the wife of the Sovereign or with the Sovereign herself being a married woman or with a married woman who stands not farther
than [10th] in succession from the sovereign, or
not whose husband stands not farther than in
the same degree [+] [+] whereby the legitimacy of any apparent successor to the Sovereignty may become doubtful.. In such case it is Rebellion
in both parties. (a)
NOTE
(a) This provision is alter'd from the English
Stat. Ed. 3. It is a provision of abundant
caution, and might perhaps be spared.
The following are presumptive proofs s
of a mans preparing to levy war against the
Sovereign
1. If he levy or endeavour to levy troops without commission from the
Sovereign, and w or any foreign State.
2. If he collect or endeavour to arms or communication or other
implements of war otherwise than not for the purposes of
Trade, or private .
3. If he collect or endeavour to collect provisions
or cloathing otherwise than for the purposes consumption of his own
family, or the purposes of trade
