but 20 —

To go to work upon Acts not reduced would
be endless work because the jarring clauses
must first be reconciled & this would lead into
Depertation: of which there will be already too great
a necessity in the subject of those that are reduced.

BUILDERS ADVERTISEMENT.

An Abstract of so much of the Act for preventing
Mischiefs by Fire passed the last Sessions [12 G. 3. C73]
as prescribes Rules to be observed by Builders under
Penalties — Printed in form of a Table to be hung whereby
up Persons of that business may see at one view
all the Regulations which concern them —
Digested in a manner after a method entirely new, the design
of which is to render the contents as concise as easily to be
apprehended comprehended as possible by avoiding repetitions., both by the eye & as well as
the understanding.

The Method & this form is attempted and humbly proposed to
the Legislature as Models for the Composition
and Promulgation of other such Laws as [are designed
to] regulate particular Professions or other Denominations
[of Men Mankind.]

With an Appendix containing such maxims, Rules of Law as
though not comprised in the above Act, are useful to be
known by the persons whom it affects.
