Cortes — Sitting of the 12th February.

"The opinion of the Committee relative to the Colonies
"was discussed. The debate was long & animated & was continued
on the 13th. The additional Articles proposed by
"Count Toreno & others (already published) were approved
"declaring the Treaty of Cordora to be null & void; & that the
Spanish Government shall signify to other nations that
"Spain does not acknowledge the independence of the
Colonies."
