§§.5 Breach of faith 1st - Previous Contract

on the part of the said Mr White: notice of that contempt
conveyed in form by me to Mr Long; and no notice was
taken of that notice, by the said Mr Long, in form or
otherwise: — the said measure relative to the previous contract
thereby lost — and thereby the season — that is one
twelvemonth, lost along with it. —

After this explanatory introduction, the correspondence
itself will (I hope) render itself sufficiently intelligible,
at least with the help of here and there an incidental note.
