21 Feb. 1802 H1 2 Notes to Memorial 2
§§.10 Armed Memorial
(c) p.4 Pencil Note. The negative was put by Mr Long:
but, presuming this mode of statement to be most agreeable
to him, and indeed fitting Mr B. thus takes it on
himself.
(d) p.5 Note now added. This Map is not insert here inserted.
The engraving of it would have produced expence and delay,
and nothing essential turns upon it.

(c) p.10 Note on the original. The said number of 2000 falls short,
by 150, of the maximum of transportable Convicts found coexisting
at a past period, exclusive of Convicts then transported
to New South Wales: and, under the 34.G.3.c.84 Convicts not
transportable are moreover capable of being consigned to
the Penitentiary House.—
(F) p.11 Pencil Note. This was also a sp suggestion,
and a spontaneous one, of Mr Long, repeated at
different times: but it was thought better to omitt it
here.
(g) p.12 Pencil Note. This obligation of responding is now proposed
spontaneously by Mr B. : nothing was said of it by
Mr Long. — All the favour Mr B. hopes for, is
it being left at his disposal, and not tied up: it
would be highly to his disadvantage, nit to have it always
ready for purchases of land.
(h) Note now added. Dilemma: — no complaint, no redress:
— if complaint, complaint not suppressed: — and so it
was.
(I) Another Dilemma, the same again for me: — another
dagger for to Mr Long.
(k) Another dagger.
