Young Lads to
be sent to the
marine society
or otherwise Employd.

Provided always that it be Enacted that with respect
to Friendless & deserted young Lads it shall be lawfull for the sd.
Comrs. or any 3 of them at any time before any such Offender being
under 18yrs of age is discharged to contract with the marine
Society for securing & providing him for the the Sea Service or otherwise
to put him out in some usefull calling occupation or Employmt.
accordg to the age & Circumstances of the person as it may seem most
convt & practicable to the sd. Commrs. or 3 of them
