Thames Police Bill

And whereas, for want of a competent or any
number of executive officers whose time shall be dedicated whole time and attention shall
be dedicated to the prevention of the depredations aforesaid and
whose powers with legal not powers such as adequate in point of local extent shall
be adequate thereto offenders through detected, frequently
escape, the pursuers by whom they
might be have been apprehended on the water not being
empowered to pursue and follow them on shore
or vice versa because a Constable some Officer by whom
has detected any such offender in his Constablewick an Offender has been detected in one district
can not pursue and take apprehend him out of
the same in another.

For remedy thereof thereto Be it enacted
