Thames Police Bill
And be it further enacted that
Any Every or any person who having been concerned in
stealing or unlawfully procuring from any ship or
vessel any such merchandises, goods, stores or things materials, furniture, stores, merchandizes
or other valuables article or articles
as aforesaid from any Ship or Vessel or from within
the limits aforesaid, or to any from any other place
to which the same shall have been removed mediately
or immediately from any such ship or vessel
as aforesaid, or in such throwing into or letting fall
the Thames close to them
aforesaid from any Ship, Boat
Wharf or other Landing
place any such
goods article or articles as
aforesaid

and being out of prison shall make
or though in prison being under fifteen years of age shall
make discovery of any person to whom he is or she
or any other person shall have offered any such goods article or articles to pawn
or sell without having been so dealt with apprehended and dealt with as aforesaid
whereby any such person by whom the such party
ought to have been apprehended was suffered to go
free contrary to this act shall from the time of
such conviction

be free and harmless discharged
of from all penalties for suc every such his or
her offence: and in case any order of an shall
find have been made by any Justice or Justices
of the Peace for the declaring such offender to have
been convicted any information
shall have been helped
against

it shall be lawful to such Justice
or Justices at any time to stay the execution of such order
or so much thereof as should remain unexecuted,
untill the event of such discovery shall have
been ascertained: and every person who having
been guilty of felony in respect of the stealing or
unlawfully procuring any materials, furniture, stores merchandise, goods stores
or other valuables article or articles or things, from any Ship or Vessel and being out of
prison or under fifteen years of age shall make discovery of any person by
whom any such article or articles shall have been feloniously
taken or received whereby such taker or thieves shall have been be be convicted of
felony shall upon such conviction be entitled to
his Majesty's most gracious pardon for all such
felonies by him or her so committed as aforesaid.
