for any Justice of the Peace in and for the
County or other jurisdiction in which he may be
found to cause him to account upon oath & in a summary way and make payment
of what shall appear to be due so examining
moreover all such other persons if any as
there shall be occasion to examine for that purpose:
and for the purpose of compelling such payment
such Justice shall if necessary proceed by imprisonment or by with or without
distress and sale, corresponding with
and
taking any such instructions from such
Justice or the said Board, or from the Justice
or Police Magistrate of the Division or District
for which such person shall be Surveyor, as
occasion may require.
